Adidas Yung 1 Hi Res Orange Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

In a Dragon Ball Z x adidas collab preview video, I kind of hated on this model, but moreso the collab itself. These Adidas Yung 1 Hi Res Orange have totally changed my mind though!

This model is a newer take on the Adidas Falcon Dorf (a kick from the 90s).

These would easily combine with a black outfit, but also work well with blue thanks to the mostly orange upper and navy accents. For summer, I’m rocking these with some medium or light blue denim and a grey or white top. This shoe is so crazy it winds up being versatile!

Here’s a “wacky” shoe from Adidas that just hits the mark perfectly. It strikes a great balance between a trendy chunky shoe, a pointy retro runner and wild paneling which leads to great and imaginative colorways like this! Definitely trying to grab more pairs of this sneaker!

How Are The Materials?

The materials are a mixed back. Overall they are high quality; the orange suede in particular is fairly buttery. The blue bits of suede are more of a cheesy felt type of texture which has these losing a few points for me. This is fairly minor though, and I think materials fiends will be pleased with these in general.

How Do They Fit?

These Adidas Yung 1 Hi Res Orange are very comfortable and fit perfectly at a true size or even half size down. The toebox is fairly wide even with the nice slope on the profile, which gives a lot of comfort in key areas by the pinky toes. These also satisfy the dad shoe look/fit/feel.
